Dr. Bassas is a formally trained surgeon who is specially trained and licensed to offer IV sedation for the comfort of all patients. He performs hundreds of implant and bone graft procedures per year, which has made him a leading expert in the field. Dr. Bassas’s concern, enthusiasm, and passion for implant dentistry set him apart from his peers.
As a practice, we are true believers in providing education for our patients. We are called i-Implant Dentistry because of our focus on being innovative, informative, and individual—for all patients. We appreciate you entrusting us to take care of your dental needs, and we look forward to serving you.
Dr. Jason Chong
I am a native Minnesotan, born in Minneapolis and grew up in Fridley. I obtained my undergraduate B.S. degree (2005) in Biology at the University of Minnesota and followed up with my DDS degree (2009) and specialty training in prosthodontics (2012), also at the University of Minnesota.
I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, and a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. I also serve as clinical faculty at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where I teach prosthodontics to dental students and dental residents.
In addition to being able to offer comprehensive prosthodontic treatments, I have a special interest in implant dentistry, particularly implant-supported dentures and other implant-supported prostheses that involve the entire jaw or both jaws. I believe the specialty of prosthodontics is a unique fusion of art and science. We seek to recreate what nature has given us. Working with colleagues and patients to restore lost function and aesthetics is a very rewarding experience. I truly feel that I have the best job in the world!
When I am not practicing prosthodontics, I am spending time with my wife, Laura, my two young sons, Cody and Alistair, and our two dogs, Rory (a Maltese) and Yomi (a Shiba Inu). I enjoy hiking, camping, Olympic recurve target archery, bow hunting, photography, and golf.
Dr. Saad Bassas
Dr. Saad Bassas brings to i-Implant Dentistry 20 years of experience in implant dentistry.
His approach to your treatment starts with patiently listening to you. Then, after a complete and thorough examination, he reviews and discusses the diagnosis and all treatment options. “I am proud to provide my patients with the highest standards in dentistry, treatment options, and patient comfort. I am very detail-oriented by nature and fully use this in my profession. It is my pleasure to address all your questions and concerns.”
Dr. Bassas is board certified in prosthodontics as well as oral implantology/implant dentistry. He is among only a handful of prosthodontists in the United States who completed dual residency and training in oral surgery and prosthodontics, which makes him highly and uniquely qualified in both placing and restoring dental implants.
In addition, Dr. Bassas is specially trained and licensed to offer IV sedation for the comfort of all patients who desire this service. He performs hundreds of implant and bone graft procedures per year, which has made him a leading expert in the field. His concern, enthusiasm, and passion for implant dentistry set him apart from many of his peers.
He has been living in Minnesota and practicing dentistry there since 2003. He is a diplomate of both the American Board of Prosthodontics (2017) and the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID) (2009). When Dr. Bassas obtained his diplomate status in 2009; only 359 dentists in the United States have passed this rigorous board certification process since 1969. This honorable title makes him well qualified for all dental implant and bone grafting procedures. Dr. Bassas also holds the title of master in the College of Sedation in Dentistry.
Dr. Bassas received his doctor of dental surgery degree from Aleppo University School of Dentistry in 1998, where he ranked first in his class. He then completed an oral surgery residency and graduate studies at Damascus University, where he also served as chief of residents.
Because of his special interests in implants and aesthetic dentistry, he completed the maxicourse in oral implantology at New York University as well as the postgraduate program in esthetic dentistry at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Bassas started in 2003 as an associate dentist at Health Partners Dental in St. Cloud prior to opening his private practice in Sartell in 2006. Despite all the extra training, knowledge, and experience he had gained practicing oral surgery, implant, and restorative dentistry for 15 years, his enthusiasm and interest for more intense education and expertise pushed him to go back to school. He attended the prestigious program of Advanced Education in Prosthodontics at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Bassas, his wife Rihab and their son, Aboud (18) and daughters Sarah (12), Leena (9) and Jenna (4) have been living in Minnesota since 2003. They love the family-friendly atmosphere and warmth of the community. His favorite activities include bicycling, soccer, swimming, and traveling. He also enjoys history, architecture, and music. “I’ve visited many states in the US,” he says, “but to be honest, Minnesotans are truly warm-hearted and friendly. It is a great place to work, live, and raise a family.”
Licensed Dental Assistant
I am the “new kid” on the block here at i-Implant Dentistry, although I bring 24 years of dental assisting experience to my chair at the front desk. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and greeting the patients here and I have the utmost confidence that our providers will give you the very best.
I studied at Normandale College and I am a licensed dental assistant.
During my days off, I like to tap into my creative nature and get involved in my son’s theater. I enjoy theater costume making and stage make-up, as well as props and helping my husband with set design. I also love collecting vintage glass & DIY chalk painting furniture. My family hosts international high school students from around the world for a semester or two each school year.
Licensed Dental Assistant
I started with Dr. Kenneth Meyer until his retirement and I am now assisting for Dr. Jason Chong. What has kept me here for all of these years has been the talented doctors of this practice that I have the utmost respect for.
I studied at the University of MN and graduated as a licensed dental assistant.
During my days off, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, working out and reading. I have been very fortunate to have been able to travel widely to some special destinations.
Susan has been in the dental field for 48 years and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. She loves working with people and helping them get that smile they have always wanted. Many patients have become friends over the years.
She has worked with a few different dentists over the years and started with her own family dentist, who she had seen since the age of five. Susan remembers him fondly as a wonderful dentist and man.
Starting as a dental assistant, then moving to a front office position in 2001, and now as office manager, she has learned and grown from each of the dentists with whom she has worked.
Susan has three children and six grandchildren, who are her greatest joy. She enjoys golfing, reading, and crafting, and has recently taken up quilting. She is looking ahead to retirement “soon,” but she does have mixed feelings about it!
Originally from Sebeka, Minnesota, Nicole received her training at Central Lakes college, with both associate of arts and dental assisting degrees. She loves getting to know the practice’s patients on a personal level. Her goal is always to make them feel more comfortable, and if she can make them laugh, she knows she has succeeded! Nicole enjoys the team at i-Implant Dentistry, appreciating the way they all go that extra mile to make everyone feel welcome and cared for. About Dr. Bassas, she says that he “is so talented, and his passion for dentistry shows in his work. He is always keeping up with the newest and best techniques.”
Nicole is busy outside the office with her three sons. Her free time is usually taken up by cheering them on at various activities, including football, wrestling, baseball, and trap shooting. When she has downtime, Nicole is always on some adventure with her family, including camping, fishing, and hunting.
