Dr. Bassas On Sculpting Smiles: The Powerful Benefits of Merging Art and Tech in Dental Care!

The Benefits of an In-House Dental Lab

Superb Quality Control

An on-site dental lab provides our team with 100% quality control because we can oversee your treatment from start to finish. Digitally aided design and fabrication streamline the process of creating highly precise restorations without the need to make major adjustments. It’s possible to quickly assess the color, fit, strength, and aesthetic aspects of your restoration and make immediate modifications to ensure perfection.

Start to Finish Hands-on Collaboration

Having one team under the same roof in charge of your entire treatment affords a level of hands-on collaboration that isn’t possible when an outside lab is used. This enables us to create a wide range of high-quality, natural-looking restorations that match your facial features, skin color, and the rest of your teeth.

Convenience and Cost-Effective Solutions

A full-mouth dental laboratory enables Dr. Bassas to deliver a natural-looking temporary prosthesis the same day you undergo All-on-4 full-mouth dental implant surgery. It also enhances the ability to offer exceptionally affordable dental implants in Roseville, MN.

Advanced Technologies That Transform Dental Health

Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)

Our CBCT scanner is used to evaluate your underlying bone structure, nerve pathways, sinuses, and surrounding soft tissues. This technology is essential for planning and customizing tooth replacement solutions because it provides a more in-depth and complete picture than digital X-rays. During a CBCT scan, the imaging machine rotates entirely around your head and captures about 150-200 images from different angles in less than a minute. These are compiled into a single 3D image that we use to personalize precise procedures and accurately guide minimally invasive dental implant placement —for successful outcomes and faster, easier recovery.

3D Intraoral Scanner

Our 3D intraoral dental scanner is a small, handheld device used to capture images of the inside of your mouth. Thousands of images are taken per second to create a 3D simulation of your teeth and gums. This is instrumental in planning accurate treatment, including dental implants and crowns, and bridges.

Digital Impressions

Digital impressions eliminate the need for the messy impression material that dentists have used for decades for dental crowns and bridges. In addition to crowns and bridges, digital impressions can be used for all prosthodontic procedures, virtual dental implant treatment planning, and surgical implant guides.

3D Printer

Unlike milling which carves an object from a single block, 3D printing employs an additive process by building up layers to easily create complex curves, holes, and tiny shapes. Multiple parts can be printed at once with little to no waste product. Unlike most implant centers that send out physical models to outside dental labs, Dr. Bassas loves being involved in all phases of restoration. At i-Implant Dentistry, we use our Sprintray 3D printer to create drill guides for dental implants, physical models, and temporary restorations.

Smile Preview Technology

Dental smile design is a type of digital dentistry technology that provides a simulation of an expected smile outcome. The digital mockup can easily be edited to compare and contrast how different treatment options will affect your teeth, overall smile aesthetics and facial structure. This technology allows you to be an active partner in the process of creating your dream smile.
